The "Model 158" Desk by Poul Volther (b. Denmark, 1923 - 2001) , designed in the 1950s and manufactured by Korsbjerg Møbelsnedkeri, is an excellent example of Danish mid-century design. Featuring a beautiful teak top supported by a sturdy oak frame and three drawers, this desk is expandable with two fold-down removeable leaves. The leaf supports fold into the frame, allowing seamless expansion or a more compact form.

Madison L. ★★★★★

Those drawers glide open so smoothly once you learn the little push-latch trick—built like a tank but elegant. The oak top gives just enough warmth to balance the teak, and the whole thing feels solid yet graceful.

Kevin X. ★★★★★

The patina on the teak drawer fronts is exactly what I hoped for from a 1950s piece—warm and rich. Assembly was straightforward, and the desk feels incredibly solid, like it’ll last another lifetime.

Ryan R. ★★★★★

The grain on this oak top is stunning in person, and those tapered teak legs are even more elegant than the photos suggest. I'd been hunting for a genuine mid-century piece for months, and the quality of the joinery here is just flawless.
