I was struck by how the blue pastel shading gives the figure such a sense of motion. The soft charcoal lines feel deliberate yet spontaneous, and it fits perfectly in my reading nook.

The loose, expressive lines capture so much motion—it feels like the figure could shift any second. The soft charcoal against that pop of blue pastel is an unexpected but perfect contrast. I've already found a spot for it where the afternoon light hits the paper just right.

The charcoal lines are so loose and gestural that the figure almost seems to shift depending on where I'm standing. I put it above my desk and the blue pastel shading keeps catching my eye mid-work. Genuinely didn't expect a sketch on paper to have this much depth.
