日本練込花瓶

The nerikomi technique used here creates such depth in the clay that the vase feels like a tiny landscape when you turn it in your hands. It’s surprisingly solid and well-balanced for its size.

I was nervous about buying ceramics online, but the layered clay patterns are even more intricate in person. It sits beautifully on my shelf, and the weight feels substantial and well-crafted.

The marbled slip layers catch the light in a different way each time I walk past my shelf. Fits perfectly as a single-stem bud vase on my nightstand, and the weight feels solid and well-balanced in my hands.
