The 4.5 oz thickness is perfect for a pen wrap—sturdy enough to hold its shape but still easy to fold. I’ve been using a small swatch as a coaster for my morning coffee and the oiled finish already has a nice subtle patina forming.

The oil and wax treatment gives this leather a really nice depth of color, and at 1.7mm it feels substantial without being too stiff. I’m using it to wrap a pen holder, and the texture is exactly what I wanted.
